Otipemisiwak Fantasy — Riel Starr

Riel Starr explores contemporary Métis culture through an Indigiqueer and Two-Spirit perspective at The New Gallery.

Riel Starr’s Otipemisiwak Fantasy runs October 23–December 12, 2026 in The New Gallery’s Main Space. The exhibition brings together historical and contemporary ways of making in a boudoir-like setting to consider Métis identity, gender, spirituality and imagined futures. This is an exhibition date range, not continuous opening hours. Regular gallery visiting hours are Wednesday–Saturday, noon–6 p.m. Admission is free. A separate opening reception takes place October 23, 6:30–9 p.m.; see its event listing and the official exhibition page for details.
