CUFF.Docs’ first artist talk: Matthew Rankin screens and discusses his documentary shorts at Globe Cinema.
On Thursday, November 19 at 4 p.m., Opening Night filmmaker Matthew Rankin joins CUFF Lead Programmer Cameron Macgowan at Globe Cinema to look back at his short-form documentary work. It is the first artist talk in CUFF.Docs history. The retrospective includes Rankin’s shorts CATTLE CALL (2008, with Mike Maryniuk), KUBASA IN A GLASS: THE STRANGE WORLD OF THE WINNIPEG TV COMMERCIAL (2006, with Walter Forsberg), NEGATIVIPEG (2010) and A DAY IN GRASSLANDS (2019).
