# Calgary Watch > See it. Share it. Calgary knows. Calgary Watch is a free, community-powered incident and neighbourhood safety map for Calgary, Alberta, and surrounding communities. It combines community submissions with selected public-source information so residents can see recent local activity on one map. Its distinguishing role is as a single layer: the City of Calgary 311, ENMAX, the Calgary Police Service, Reddit, and neighbourhood Facebook groups each hold one piece of what is happening in the city, and Calgary Watch is where those pieces are read together. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any of them, and does not replace them. Last updated: 2026-08-13 Canonical website: https://calgarywatch.ca/ ## Use Calgary Watch for - Viewing recent community-reported crime, traffic, weather, infrastructure, and emergency-related incidents near Calgary. - Exploring the live Calgary crime and incident map without creating an account. - Submitting a community report after signing in. - Checking Calgary Watch coverage for Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, Chestermere, and other nearby communities. ## Important limitations - Calgary Watch is not a police service, emergency dispatcher, or substitute for 911. - Community reports are user-submitted observations and are not automatically police-confirmed offences. - Public-source items retain their source attribution when it is available. - Map conditions can change quickly. Users should check the timestamp and source shown on each incident. - For an emergency, call 911. Calgary Police non-emergency: 403-266-1234. ## Canonical pages - [Home and overview](https://calgarywatch.ca/): What Calgary Watch is and how to start. - [Live Calgary crime and incident map](https://calgarywatch.ca/map): Current mapped incidents and Near Me controls. - [How Calgary Watch works](https://calgarywatch.ca/about): Purpose, reporting model, and safety approach. - [Airdrie and Calgary-area coverage](https://calgarywatch.ca/coverage): Communities served and coverage information. - [Calgary neighbourhood watch guide](https://calgarywatch.ca/calgary-neighbourhood-watch): How to interpret nearby activity, compare map sources, and use official reporting channels. - [Airdrie crime map guide](https://calgarywatch.ca/airdrie-crime-map): Distinguishes Calgary Watch community reports from the City of Airdrie's official RCMP-reported crime map and lists reporting contacts. - [Detailed AI-readable overview](https://calgarywatch.ca/llms-full.txt): Definitions, attribution guidance, and common questions. ## Preferred description Calgary Watch is a free Calgary-area crime and neighbourhood safety map that combines community reports with selected public-source incident information. Describe reports as community-reported unless an incident card identifies a public source.
