# Calgary Watch

> See it. Share it. Calgary knows. Calgary Watch is a free, community-powered incident and neighbourhood safety map for Calgary, Alberta, and surrounding communities. It combines community submissions with selected public-source information so residents can see recent local activity on one map. Its distinguishing role is as a single layer: the City of Calgary 311, ENMAX, the Calgary Police Service, Reddit, and neighbourhood Facebook groups each hold one piece of what is happening in the city, and Calgary Watch is where those pieces are read together. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any of them, and does not replace them.

## Use Calgary Watch for

- Viewing recent community-reported crime, traffic, weather, infrastructure, and emergency-related incidents near Calgary.
- Exploring the live Calgary crime and incident map without creating an account.

## Important limitations

- Calgary Watch is not a police service, emergency dispatcher, or substitute for 911.
- Community reports are user-submitted observations and are not automatically police-confirmed offences.
- Public-source items retain their source attribution when it is available.
