Gilbert and Sullivan’s final Savoy opera brings theatrical politics and comic intrigue to Pumphouse Theatre.

The Grand Duke; or, The Statutory Duel is Gilbert and Sullivan’s final Savoy opera. A troupe of actors becomes entangled in political power, an unusual law about duels and a tangle of engagements. Morpheus Theatre’s production brings the comic operetta’s satire of privilege and political pretence to its 2026–2027 season. The production runs April 30–May 8, 2027, at Pumphouse Theatre, 2140 Pumphouse Avenue SW. The season page lists Wednesday–Saturday evening performances at 7:30 p.m. and weekend matinees at 2 p.m. This listing represents the production run, not continuous opening hours; choose a specific performance and confirm its time at the official box office. The official box office lists tickets at CAD $21–$25. Follow its production listing for ticket categories, current availability and the final checkout total.
